๐ธ Learn an Instrument, actually enforced
56 days ยท 8 weeks · 2 goals · run inside Commit
Eight weeks of daily practice, recorded as a time-lapse so the practice itself is the proof, plus one full piece played start to finish every week.

Everyone quits on day 9 because nothing happens when you quit.
Learn an Instrument has no referee. Commit is the referee: you put real money behind each goal, an AI coach checks your evidence every day, and missing one costs you exactly what you said it would.
What you commit to
-
Practise for 20 minutes
Twenty minutes of deliberate practice on your instrument, captured as a time-lapse. Set the phone down so your hands and the instrument are both in frame for the whole session. The frames have to show you playing. An instrument sitting on a stand, an empty chair, or a session that starts and ends within a couple of minutes does not count. Scales, drills and working one bar over and over all count as practice; listening to music does not.
-
Play one piece through
Once a week, play one piece from beginning to end and record it as a single unedited take. Mistakes are fine and stopping to restart is not: the point is playing through the wrong note instead of going back to bar one. Say the name of the piece at the start. A clip shorter than 30 seconds, or one cut together from several attempts, does not count.
How it works
- Enroll from the Programs tab in Commit. The goals above are created for you, ready to run.
- Submit evidence, or let the app do it: Apple Health, location, Screen Time and barcodes report on their own.
- Miss a day and the penalty is charged. You have 48 hours to appeal to your coach first.
- Finish and you're on the board. Leave whenever, but the goals you set don't vanish just because you'd rather they did.
